Firstly, the company is bringing back Ajay Sharma as head of sales in the mobile phone and tablet divisions. He looked over Micromax’s smartphone division from 2012-2014. After departing from Micromax, Sharma headed John Sculley-backed Obi Mobiles before moving to Panasonic India’s phone division. Sharma will replace Prosenjit Sen, who was vice president of sales, and Khaja Muzaffarullah, who headed feature phones at the company.

In addition, Micromax’s former chief marketing officer Shubhodip Pal is also returning to the company. The report said that Micromax’s present chief marketing officer Shubhojit Sen continues to work with the company and there is speculation that Pal may head marketing at Yu Televentures, which is the sister company of Micromax. Last week, the report mentioned that the promoters are dropping the idea of appointing a top executives and are taking charge of day-to-day operations.
