WePad is now WeTab – A Tablet not a Pad


WePad which is a Intel based Android Tablet competing with the iPad has renamed it’s product as WeTab. The reason the company states is that they want clearly differentiate their products within the international market for tablet computers.  Specs wise the WeTab looks impressive . But why this move ? Is Apple to blame ?

Berlin (Germany) – May 7, 2010 – To clearly differentiate our products within the international market for tablet computers, as of today we have changed the product name of our tablet computer to WeTab. Similarly, the company will now trade under WeTab GmbH. This change only concerns the name of the product and company. All other particulars and pre-orders are not affected.
