Today the Cupertino giant announced that it has sold record-breaking 13 million iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models in just three days after the launch. Both these smartphones will roll out in over 130 countries through over 400 carriers by the end of 2015. As usual, Apple did not reveal separate sales numbers for the smartphones.

Apple released iOS 9 on September 16th, and revealed last week that more than 50% of iOS devices are running on iOS 9. It did not reveal any new update regarding the adoption rate today.

Regarding the sales of the new iPhone models, Apple CEO Tim Cook, said,

Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history. Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.
