Sony is shutting down its online store on August 28th. Customers who directly bought products from Sony’s online store will no longer be able to do so after August 28th.
Sony has started sending emails to its customers notifying them that the online store will be closing at 1:00 pm PT/4:00 pm ET on August 28. The company did not offer a reason for this move but it could be because of less customers. Sony also said that it plans to “soon unveil a new online product showcase and more ways to shop.” It has also reminded its customers to use Sony gift cards, if they have any, before the site goes offline.
Sony’s online store offers an array of its products including their branded cameras (digital and video), audio products, wearables, and of course, unlocked phones and tablets.
