Pebble Time, the smartwatch with e-ink display has kick started to take pre-orders from BestBuy and Pebble.com. The smartwatch was launched in February this year on Kickstartet for $159.
Today, the Pebble Time is available for pre-order on BestBuy and Pebble.com for $199.99 in black, red, and white color options. US pre-orders are expected to begin shipping in early July, while the watch will be available at physical Best Buy locations in mid-July. Pebble’s Kickstarter campaign for the Pebble Time rapidly became the most successful ever, breaking the $1 million barrier in 49 minutes and ultimately surpassing $20.3 million.
The Pebble Time comes with an always-on, daylight readable color e-paper display with backlight. It can be paired with both iOS and Android phones. It has a new timeline interface that lists notifications, news, reminders and event in chronological order instead of being trapped inside separate apps.
