Last month we saw an artists rendering of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in various Avenger character themed colours. At the time we weren’t sure whether Samsung had plans to release them as they didn’t comment on the same. Now sources say that they will be releasing an “Iron Man” edition of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edger next month.
Iron Man is one of the most popular members of the Marvel universe and is a prominent member of the Avengers team. Lee Young-hee (Head of Marketing for Samsung), said that the Iron man edition of the phones will be in red colour after a screening of Avengers : Age of Ultron. The red colour will definitely match Iron Man’s look in the movies and comics. While we aren’t sure whether it’ll receive a dual tone Gold and Red combination as shown in the rendering, we will definitely see a handset with red being used dominantly.
He said that the special edition will be released either at the end of May or beginning of June. Apart from the colour, we are not sure whether Samsung is planning on bundling any additional accessories, themes or sounds for the device but, we will keep you updated as and when we get more information.
