Lenovo to bring Android 5.0 Lollipop update to a bunch of phones in Q2, 2015

Lenovo is gearing up to bring Android 5.0 Lollipop update to a bunch of its device. The company’s roadmap shows a total of seven smartphones that will receive Lollipop update in Q2, 2015.

Lenovo’s roadmap reveals that A5000, A6000, P70, S90, Vibe X2, Vibe Z2, and Vibe Z2 Pro will be updated between April 1 and June 30 2015. Among the Lenovo handsets listed, the Vibe Z2 Pro is more likely to get the update first since it’s the company’s current flagship smartphone. The company even added that it will roll out more Lollipop update to more devices in future. The updates will be done over the air (OTA).

Motorola, HTC and Xolo have started releasing Lollipop update to couple of their devices. Earlier this month, Android distribution numbers from Google revealed that 5.0 Lollipop is present on1.6%of all current Android devices as of February 2.
