The report is stating that Google Chromecast will be officially launched in India during the Google Online Shopping Festival that will start from December 10. At the moment there is no word on the pricing of the device. Currently Chromecast is available on Flipkart and eBay for Rs 3,499 and Rs 2,850 respectively. The device is priced between $30-$35 in the US which translates to Rs 1,856 –  Rs 2,165 in India.

At the time of writing this article the Chromecast was not listed on Snapdeal. Google had launched Chromecast in the US in 2013 and it works with Netflix, YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV, and Google Play Music and more. It has HDMI out and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support to connect to your devices. You need a Wi-Fi enabled device and HDTV to use Chromecast and a Wi-Fi router. We have already done unboxing and demo of the Chromecast along with a detailed review.
