If you thought the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were thin, well, think again. Although the Dell Venue 8 7840 isn’t really a phone, it is definitely one of the thinnest devices around. It comes with a thickness of just 6.4mm, and the looks department is naturally the tablet’s USP.

That said, it must be noted that the Venue 8 7840 is no mug with processing prowess either. It comes with a powerful 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3590 processor that’s capable of some serious performance, and something that shouldn’t find it too difficult to drive the 8.4-inch 2560 x 1600 pixel display.

It also has an 8 mega-pixel camera on the rear that should be able to snap above-average photos. Another sensor sits on the chassis to aid the 8 megapixel rear in depth calculation, similar to the HTC M8’s Duo Camera. To take care of things on the software side, the Venue 8 7840 employs a build of Android v4.4 KitKat.

The tablet will only be available towards the end of this year, which means there’s a fair bit of waiting to do before you can get your hands on one. Keep in mind though that with an impressive design and high-end internals, comes a price tag that’s not usually the prettiest.
