Samsung I8910 HD Gets a Firmware Update


Good News to all the Samsung I8910 HD users, a new firmware for the device has been announced. This new firmware further improves the speed of multimedia performance and adds new functionalities to the device.

The I8910 HD being  an ultimate multimedia powerhouse, giving users full-touch control of their multimedia lives improves the user experience by delivering faster Web browsing, an improved graphics engine and Kinetic Scrolling experience on the phone.

Below is a full changelog in the new firmware:

  • Webkit update: A faster UI (User Interface) when online, for swift navigation of your favourite websites.
  • Improved Graphic engine: The graphic engine has been improved, thus increasing the speed to access the multimedia content on the phone.
  • Kinetic scrolling: The addition of a kinetic scrolling system provides a superior full touch experience on the device.

To update the firmware of your device, download Samsung’s unique in-house software upgrade program PC Studio 7 which was included in your I8910 HD package. You can also download it from the Samsung Mobiles website.

Samsung I8910 HD firmware update will be available from January 2010 in the UK and will be then gradually rolled out to other European markets, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, Africa and rest of the world.
