Asus ZenFone 5 Hands on


Asus unveiled a series of three smartphones called as the Asus ZenFone series. Each smartphone in the series is named after the size of its display. We went hands on with each of the device and for now, we have the Asus ZenFone 5 Hands on video right below.

According to the name, the Asus ZenFone 5 is the middle member among the three smartphones in the ZenFone series both in terms of size and specifications. Asus ZenFone 5 has a 5inch HD display and is powered by Intel Atom Z2580 Chip clocked at 2GHz. The memory storage includes 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage options. The Asus ZenFone 5 runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean and will get the Android 4.4 KitKat update very soon.

The 5inch device is a typical mid-range smartphone with mid-range specifications. The 5inch display supports pencil and glove touch input. The ZenFone 5 smartphone weighs about 140g and most of the front is dominated by the display. Below the display, we have three capacitive touch keys. Above the display,we have the earpiece and ambient and proximity sensor combination. There is also a 2MP front facing camera.

On the right, we have the volume rocker and the power lock button. On the bottom, we have the microUSB port and there is nothing on the left side.

On the top, we have the 3.5mm audio jack and the secondary microphone.

The back of the device is curved and houses a 2050mAh battery.
