Acer Liquid S2 with 6-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor and 4K video recording announced

Acer has announced the Liquid S2, successor of the Liquid S1 that was unveiled back in June. The Acer Liquid S2 would be the first phone to record videos at 4K Ultra HD resolution with it’s 13-megapixel rear camera that has a LED ring flash. It has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels), IPS display at 368 PPI, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with-wide angle lens and 1080p full HD video recording. The Acer Float UI allows several Float app windows to stay open for better multitasking.

The rear camera can also capture videos at 1080p full HD resolution at 60 fps. The camera has different features including Quick First Shot to capture picture right from unlock the screen with automatic center-focus by tapping any location on the screen, Smart Best Shot that automatically detects photo type and takes multiple shots for best selection,  Tag Widget, Favorite Mode, Freehand Capture and lots more. The phone has soft round curves and red elements for the receiver mesh and metallic ring highlighting the four LED ring flash.

The Acer Liquid S2 comes in red and black colors and would go on sale at the end of October 2013. No word on pricing yet. It would be showcased at the IFA 2013.
