Micromax Canvas 4 Unboxing

Micromax unveiled the Canvas 4 A210, the company’s flagship smartphone at an event in Delhi earlier this week.  We brought you the first hands-on impressions of the device from the event. Here we have the device for unboxing. It comes in Pristine White & Smoky Grey colors, and we have the White colored phone with us. The phone features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with corning gorilla glass protection. It is powered by quad-core MediaTek 6589 chip clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 MP2 GPU. It runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean).

As you can see in the image above, the device is housed on a small oval-shaped box that has a see through glass. The device is placed on the top and the contents are present in the deck below that.

We did not find the free Aluminum Flip cover in the box. Don’t worry, you should get it when you buy the device.

The phone features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There are the usual proximity and ambient light sensor above the display.

The phone features a 13-megapixel camera on the back LED flash and a secondary microphone. It is capable of recording videos at 1080p full HD resolution.

Even though the back is made of plastic the frame is made of anodized aluminium. It is 8.99mm thick.  The frame also serves as the antenna.

The phone also has some unique features such as  “blow to unlock” feature, video pinning, video player also has swipe controls to seek, control volume and the brightness and auto pause the video when you look away while watching a video.

It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. The connectivity features include, 3G (HSDPA: 42 Mbps, HSUPA: 11 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It packs 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with MicroSD and comes with 2000 mAh battery.
