A code-named ASUS K009, with the FCC ID code MSQK009 was certified in the U.S last week. The tablet has also surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG listing last week that shows the front part of the tablet in a tiny image. Rumors of the second-gen Nexus 7 surfaced back in April, and Reuters revealed that the tablet would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of NVIDIA Tegra chip. The Asus K008 (ME571K) might be the WiFi-only variant and the Asus K009 (ME571KL) would come with LTE support. MSQK009 FCC

The FCC listing reveals a Qualcomm APQ-8064 S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno GPU, 5 megapixels rear camera and a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB internal memory, NFC and LTE support and 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery. Even though the listing doesn’t reveal the display size, the Bluetooth SIG certification reveals that the tablet would feature a 7-inch LED backlit display. It also reveals that the tablet would feature a Snapdragon 600 processor.

According to earlier rumors, the tablet is expected to be announced in July.
