LG Optimus G launching in Europe this month


LG has announced that that the Optimus G would be available in European countries starting from this month. The Optimus G global roll out started last month and announced that the device would be available in over 50 countries including Latin America, Asia, CIS, Middle East and Africa worldwide by Q1 2013.

The LG Optimus G has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS + Display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 13MP camera with an LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE support and a 2,100 mAh battery.

It would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) instead of ICS in these launch countries that would bring faster experience with project butter, expandable notifications, Google Now and more .
It would also offer en-hanced UX with upgraded QSlide that lets you open 2 apps in a single screen and now supports video, browser, memo, calendar and calculator. Safety Care that provides real-world assistance by automatically sending location information to user-designated persons via text messages and Privacy Keeper that allows users to hide a caller’s information in an incoming call.

The LG Optimus G would launch in European countries starting from Sweden this month followed by other Europe-an markets, including France, Germany and Italy. Hope LG would launch the phone in India soon.
