Intex Vision – Phone for Visually Impaired


Intex has launched India’s first phone for visually impaired, Intex Vision. This phone was unveiled by National Association for the Blind (NAB). This is a dual sim GSM phone that has braille keypad with large keys that helps visually impaired people  recognize the digits and talking keypad that reads out the numbers when pressed.

This phone has large SOS button in the back that dials an emergency number when pressed and can store up to 4 emergency numbers. Other than these, this phone has hearing aid earphone, torch-light, voice dialing, FM radio and Mp3 player. It has small monochrome display, since this phone is aimed at visually impaired people.

There is one touch lock button and torch button on one side and FM radio button and volume rocker on the other side. This phone is priced at Rs 2600 in the market.
