HTC manufactured this as an evolution of Desire. Most of the issues on Desire were resolved here. Even though the spec was not that much up-to-date… the phone is cool for day-to-day use. As it gives very good battery backup, sound & camera is good and latest Android seems very nice as phone is very fast compared to old Desire. The price is only approx Rs.2000 higher (than Desire) HTC Desire S is at Rs.23000
