Sony Ericsson Xperia Play officially launched with over 60 Games

After lot of expectations Sony Ericsson has officially launched the world’s first PlayStation certified phone Xperia Play worldwide. This comes with more than 60 gaming titles that include PlayStation and 3D games.

They have partnered with over 20 developers to bring new titles to this phone. Some of the popular games includes Assasin’s Creed, Need for Speed, Backstab, Asphalt 6 and Guns ‘n’ Glory.

These games are available for download via Xperia Play launcher app in the phone that also lets you search games from the Android market optimized for the phone. There are also PlayStation games that are available to download from the PlayStation pocket app.

Sony also says more games would be added periodically. Xperia Play will be available  in United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia, India and Portugal within couple of weeks and in US with Verizon within the second quarter of 2011.
