Live from the HTC Press Conference at MWC 2011


FoneArena is live from the HTC Event at Mobile World Congress 2011 , Barcelona. HTC would showcase it’s latest Android products including the smartphones and tablets.

HTC’s CEO Peter Chou got on stage to speak about promising sales in 2010 and also spoke about Smartphones replacing Featurephones.

HTC aims to make HTC Sense even better in 2011 with a new version for Super-smartphones.

The company sold 25 million phones in 2010 and saw 93% revenue growth. The brand awareness is now 50% up from 30%.

HTC announced the Desire S , Wildfire S and Incredible S

HTC also spoke about the importance of social networks and that many users start using their smartphones even before they get out of bed.

HTC announced 2 new devices – Salsa and ChaCha

Chamath from Facebook , Mobile spoke on behalf of Facebook.
