Warning : We would not advise you to enroll for a 6 month commitment plan unless you live in a area with good 3G coverage ! Many BSNL users activated the unlimited 3G plan for Rs.4200 – 700 per month and after 2 months the speeds were very slow. So our suggestion would be to try out a monthly plan and then upgrade to a 6 month plan !

Yup. I agree with the author regarding the 3G coverage thingy. I also bought a BSNL 3G sim for my smart phone and got amazingly good speeds initially. Around 1 to 1.4mbps. But after 2 months I am getting terribly low speeds of around 200kbps. I dont know the reason and have tested the speeds in a lot of 3G available areas. I live in Bangalore. I also dont want to break my head banging on BSNL service centers. Bcos it is irritating to explain them everything and then get to know that nothing is happening on that front. They have the worst possible customer service network.
