Dell has officially announced that Dell Streak, which is also known as Dell Mini 5 will be getting Android 2.2 in UK this month. Dell confirmed it on their Facebook page by saying “DellStreak will begin a rollout of the 2.2 update OTA before the end of Nov. This is happening over a period of time and staggered by region, starting in the UK.You will receive notification of the update directly on your Streak. If you don’t see it before the end of Nov, please be patient as your build may be happening at a later stage.” Dell is saying that the update will be over the air (OTA), but our friends over at Engadget got their hands on some shots of a webpage (the webpage has been pulled) which are showing that users have to manually download and install the update. Dell Streak owners will also receive the sexy Stage UI with the Android 2.2 update, which is a custom UI made by Dell for their devices. So Dell Streak owners are you finally happy, because it’s just a matter of few weeks now, right?
