OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.7 update with bootloader bypass vulnerability fix released; 5.1.6 roll out paused in India due to stability issues, 5.1.8 with fixes coming


OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 with several new features including portrait mode support for the front camera, battery percentage in the status bar, Idea VoLTE support in India Dual-4G network option and more a few days back. Now the company has released  OxygenOS 5.1.7 update with some fixes, including fixes for the bootloader protection bypass vulnerability, as it had promised. Check out the complete changelog below.

  • Fixed schedule setting issue for Do Not Disturb(DND) mode
  • Updated bootloader for system security enhancement
  • General bug fixes and improvements

OnePlus has also announced that it has paused the roll out of 5.1.6 update in India due to stability issues, however the company will release 5.1.8 update for the smartphone with fixes for the issues along with the features included in the 5.1.7 update, especially for the Indian users.
