Back in March, it was reported that Snapchat is working on the second-generation Snap Spectacles for later this year and a third version equipped with two cameras in 2019. Today, the Snap Spectacles have been spotted passing through the FCC.

It describes a “wearable video camera” made by Snap Inc. with “Spectacles” branding and “Model 002” printed on the packing label. Furthermore, digging a little deep reveals support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 (BLE).  This new development falls in line with the previous report, we can expect the second-gen model to come with water-resistance, new colors, updated camera eyewear with focus on performance improvements, bug fixes and more.

Furthermore, Snapchat is already working on a more ambitious third version with a new design and two cameras. It is expected to come with an aluminum design, more circular lens frames and two cameras with 3D-like depth effects in videos. Snap may also include built-in GPS, and a leather case and the company is aiming to price it at $300 which is double than the original version.

Since we are talking about FCC passing, there’s no guaranty that these Spectacles would be coming out anytime soon, but we’re guessing that Snpachat would officially introduce them sometime this year.
