Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra with dual front cameras, Xperia XA2 and Xperia L2 press renders surface

Sony’s upcoming mid-range and budget phones have been in the new for quite some time now. The Xperia XA2 recently got leaked in live images after being confirmed by the NBTC and SIRIM regulatory bodies in Thailand and Malaysia. Today, we are seeing the phones yet again as the press images of the phone are leaked by Evan Blass aka @evleaks of The VentureBeat.

Going by the looks, it is pretty evident that Sony is sticking to its thick bezels design rather than adopting the 18:9 bezel-less designs. These three phones will replace the Sony Xperia XA1, XA1 Ultra, and L1 phones from 2017. However, the biggest change will be a transition from MediaTek chipsets to Qualcomm. The phones are said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC.

Xperia XA2 UltraThe Sony Xperia XA 2 Ultra is said to sport a large 6-inches Full HD display and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The XA2 Ultra will run on Android 8.0 Oreo. It will come with dual 15MP selfie cameras.

On the other hand, the regular XA2 will have a smaller 5.2-inches display with same Full HD resolution and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. In the camera department, the XA2 will have a 21MP rear camera with 4K video recording and 7MP front-facing selfie cam.

Xperia L2

Not much is known about the Xperia L2 except that it might retain the same 5.2-inch 720p display, and might run Android 7.1.1 Nougat instead of Oreo. Since the device are leaked in their full glory, we might expect them to make an appearance at the CES 2018 show in a few days; it is also possible that Sony might hold back and launch them at the MWC event in February.
