But I can carry my HDMI presentations on the Nokia N8 and play to an HDMI capable TV.

Receiving DVB-H may not be interesting until there is rich content and broadcast infrastructure. After all DVB-H capable handsets have been around for some time.

Nokia’s first “experimental” DVB-H handset was the Nokia 7710, which came out in Q4/2004. One year later, there was the Nokia N92, which came out in Q4/2005. At the 3GSM in Barcelona, March 2007, Nokia announced the Nokia N77.
There have also been DVB-H phones from LG, the Motorola A680i and Samsung.

In India, Prasar Bharti Doordarshan started DVB-H trials to test the reception quality of the broadcast coverage. They currently broadcast 8 channels in New Delhi.

This handset is taking ages to come.It has been announced way before but still taking a hell lot of time. With Nokia world round the corner and Meego powered smartphone announcement almost sure.I wonder if Nokia is just doing too late for N8.

A better video 1080 out is coming with MHL mobile high definition link and also has 7.1 surround audio. Nokia is in the group with the technology so it should have products. It also powers the phone and HDMi dos not. Don’t know what videos are available.
