Samsung confirms Android 7.0 Nougat for a range of smartphones

Samsung has officially started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The South Korean smartphone maker has also revealed a range of smartphones that will receive Android 7.0 Nougat update this year.

Samsung has announced that Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3, and Galaxy A8 will get the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update within the first half of 2017. The company has not given a specific timeline for the release of the update.

Android 7.0 Nougat update will bring features like multi window support, inclusion of a performance mode, improved Quick Panel notifications and more. Notifications are now grouped to display information more clearly and also support Direct Reply.
