Amazon reportedly planning Echo only $5 a month music streaming service

Amazon-Echo

Amazon is said to be working on two music music streaming services, according to a latest report from Recode. One of the music streaming services will be similar to Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music while the other one will be more affordable.

As per the report, the second music streaming service will be available only for Amazon Echo users and cost just $5 a month.  In order to stream music, an Amazon customer would need to purchase the Amazon Echo, the Amazon Tap or the Echo Dot. The service would offer unlimited, ad-free music for these users. This is cheaper than the $10 service which the likes of Apple Music and Spotify offer.

Amazon would like to launch the service as early as next month but has yet to finalize deals with the major recording labels, said the report. Teh company already offers an Amazon Music service as part of its $99 Amazon Prime annual subscription package.
