Samsung Corby TV and Metro TV in India

Samsung has announced two new phones for India and they are TV phones – Corby TV and Metro TV which comes preloaded with a TV application

The app has been developed by Apalya Technologies and is called  MimobiTV Mobile TV  and is one of official partners for the IPL Mobile Video Streaming.

It offers users on-demand video streaming of more than 40 channels on both CDMA 1X and 3G networks.
Samsung Corby TV

Features – 2.8-inch QVGA display, OMH-enabled, 2MP camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. Corby Speed users can get free software upgrade.

Corby TV price – Rs. 9,699

The Metro TV

Features  – 2-inch display, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, FM Radio, microSD card slot, mobile tracker and 9 Indian regional languages support

Metro TV price – Rs. 6,999.

Ranjit Yadav, Director- Mobile and IT, Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. said, “Samsung has always taken the lead in introducing innovative technology products for consumers that have set industry benchmarks. Last year, with the Corby Speed, we introduced users to hi-speed internet connectivity in the CDMA space. Now with the launch of Corby TV and Metro TV, we bring to India the first ever handsets with integrated broadband mobile TV.”
