Misfit has partnered with Speedo to launch Speedo Shine activity, swim, and sleep tracker. It is targeted at swimmers and will track a swimmer’s lap count at industry-leading accuracy for all stroke types using proprietary lap counting algorithms embedded in the device’s firmware track, said the company. It is just 8.6mm thick weighs just 9.4 grams.
It syncs with Misfit app for iOS and Android over Bluetooth and displays laps and swim distance, along with calories burned and points earned. It will soon support Speedo Fit, Speedo’s personalized swim tracking app. Like the original Misfit Shine that was launched in July, the Speedo Shine is also waterproof up to 50 meters and uses a similar replaceable coin cell battery (CR2032) that promises battery life of up to 6 months.
The Misfit Speedo Shine is made of durable anodized aircraft-grade aluminum and comes in new light silver color, Pure. It is priced at $79.99 and will be initially be available in retail exclusively at Apple stores worldwide on September 1st, as well as on misfit.com and SpeedoUSA.com.
