Xiaomi Redmi 2 gets a price cut in India, now available for Rs. 5999

Xiaomi has reduced the price of Redmi 2 in India. It was launched in India back in March for Rs. 6,999. Today the company has announced Rs. 1000 price cut for the smartphone, which is now available for Rs. 5,999. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G got a price cut in India last week and is available for Rs. 7999

To remind you, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS fully laminated display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, Android 4.4 (KitKat) with MIUI 6, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory with expansion slot, 4G LTE with support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India and a 2200mAh battery.
