LINE’s Popcorn Buzz group calling app launched for iPhone

LINE Popcorn Buzz for iPhone

LINE Corporation launched Popcorn Buzz, a group calling app for Android earlier this month. Now the company has launched the app for iPhone users. The free app allows up to 200 participants to simultaneously converse. You can start using Popcorn Buzz simply by choosing a username and uploading a profile picture. Once set up, you can create a group and send each group call’s unique URL via email, text message, other apps.

If you have a LINE account, you can log in to Popcorn Buzz immediately and synchronize friends list data and start making group calls with them right away. LINE has promised to add new features such as group video chat, inter connectivity with LINE groups, and more in the future.

Highlights of Popcorn Buzz

  • Free Group Calls – Talk with up to 200 people at the same time, for free.
  • Easy Invitations – Invite anyone simply by sending them a URL or invite your LINE friends when you log in with LINE.
  • See Who’s Talking – You can tell who’s talking at a glance via the green dots that light up in the lower right-hand corner of current talking users’ icons
