Nokia N900 Firmware Updated To Version 3.2010.02-8

Nokia recently released a new firmware update for its popular Maemo based smartphone, Nokia N900. The new version 3.2010.02-8 can be easily downloaded from Over The Air (OTA) update. The size of this firmware update is just 16 MB. The new firmware update comes with minor fixes and improvements.

The changelog of this firmware update is not yet available. It is advised to backup all your data before updating the device. We will update this post as soon as we get more information regarding this firmware update. If you have some screenshots or videos of the changes, please share with us.

    Nokia has been churning out updates by the dozen for the N900. This clearly tells that Maemo (now MeeGo) is going to be their focus. There is a tremendous amount of development happening on the Maemo platform and these updates bear testimony to that fact…..

    hi!if anyone can help me..i went to the device manaer so i can update my n900 and it says to me that there is not enough space memory itn the target location..does anyone know how to fix this?thanks a lot!

    i dont now whats going wrong..i tried to update my n900 OTA but while downloading it says ‘not enough memory in the target location’

    disable extras devel in app catalogues n also disable all apps installed from it..

    hi i got the update…but i didn’t find and major changes…. in it
    but i found only one change ovi store app not working by saying(upgrade your nokia n900 to enter ovi store). thts hell this by recent update only nokia fixed the store and now it removed.
    any way huys wait for few weeks we will get and another update.

    hrishikesh, I had the same problem, but I was able to get it to work by opening the application manager, then clicking the drop down menu at the top and selecting application catalogs. i then clicked on every catalog except for “nokia system software updates,” and turned them off. After that, I was able to update without problems, then went back and turned all the catalogs back on. Not sure if there’s a better way, but it worked for me.

    Disable the optional repositories, than update. Once done, you can re-enable them.

    I have read on another forum that if you get the “not enough memory…” error, you need to disable the testing and devel repositories in your App manager. Don’t know if this is correct or not but must be worth trying.
    My handset says there are no updates available even though i’m still on 2009.51-1! Any clues about that anyone?

    I have just answered my own question, a post on gsmarena says the OTA update is not yet available in the uk – suppose we’ll have to wait, same as we have to wait for a definate answer to the free sat nav for n900 question. Come on Nokia!!!!!!!

    wus up i have the same problem.I think reflashing ur nokia n900 againg and removing all the items will work.U need to backup ur data if any.

    Check that thread out. a LOT of the people in the UK are being denied the update for no real reason.

    hey i have a problem with n900 .
    when i am trying to open apps catalouges ,its just refresh and its not showing any appls.

    ONly 16 mb?? I am getting differnt numbers. The verson on my N 900 is 1.2009.44-1.003. When I tried to update I found 3.2010.02-8.003. around 97 MB (dont remeber exact number). Started installing. The download did not work. I tried several times and always failed. Now it is downloading 79.5 mb. Would someone let me know how to get the correct and latest update.

    there is not enough memory in the rootfs download conky to check, you’l need around 50mb. to free up space you’l need to delete some apps. let me kno if this helps
