Sony Ericsson have now made the phone official.

It now seems that there are two variants of the phone. One is called the XPERIA X10 Mini and the other is called the XPERIA X10 Mini Pro. Both the phones are basically the same but with the Pro, you get a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Pro is a bit bigger than the normal version also.

The features include:

• 83 x 50 x 16 mm, 88g for the X10 Mini and 90 x 52 x 17 mm, 120g for the X10 Mini Pro
• 2.55″ Touchscreen Display (240*320 Resolution)
• Accelerometer, TimeScape UI and Scratch Resistant Surface
• 3.5mm Audio Jack, microSD Card Slot (upto 16GB, 2GB included), 128MB Internal Memory
• GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0
• 5 Megapixel Camera with LED Flash, Geo-Tagging, Autofocus and Video Recording
• Android 1.6, 600MHz Processor
• GPS with A-GPS Support, Black, White, Lime, Red, Silver for the Mini (Black/Red Colours for the Mini Pro)

The size of the phone is likely to create a new market demand for such phones especially from female users.
