Amazon launches new Kindle with touch screen in India for Rs. 5999


Amazon introduced the new Kindle Voyage and the upgraded Kindle in the U.S. few hours back, it has also launched the new Kindle in India. It has the same 6-inch ( 600 x 800 pixels) display at 167 PPI pixel density similar to the last year’s non-touch Kindle, but this has a touch screen, similar to the Kindle Touch.

It comes with the usual WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support, has 4GB of internal memory to store thousands of books and offers up to 4 weeks (wireless off) of battery life.

The New Kindle is priced at Rs. 5,999. It is now available on Amazon India website and would ship on October 9, 2014. No word about the launch of the Kindle Voyage in India yet.
