Getit Local Search app is now available for BlackBerry phones. This app lets you search for places based on your location using GPS. You can search for places in your locality like Restaurants, Hotels, Hotels, Real Estate, Auto, Electronics, Travel and much more. They launched the iPhone app recently.

Facebook app version 2.0 for BlackBerry is now out of beta and available to download at the BlackBerry App World. This version has 5 new features that includes, new interface, improved news feed, Facebook chat, Enhanced profiles and core integration with the phone. Twitter for Blackberry has been updated to version 2.0.0.15 (known as version 2.0) in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. This update includes changes from the customer feedback like, new color scheme, hidden compose bar, local trending topics etc. The last beta update v2.0 was available this May that had combined search feature. RIM has launched the new beta version of Twitter and Facebook for Blackberry version 2.0 in the Beta Zone. Stable version of Twitter for Blackberry app was updated to v1.1 recently, had new features like geo location and push notifications. This version includes new features like combined search results and new nav bar in twitter. Facebook app now supports Blackberry 5.0 devices and includes new features and performance enhancements. RIM is certainly on the offensive this year and its also taking the Indian market seriously. Many new handsets in GSM, CDMA and now another service is being launched. We first heard about Blackberry App world during the launch of the 8520 curve back in August and now App World is finally available to Blackberry users in India
