LG Optimus 4X HD Android 4.1 update starts rolling out in Europe


LG Optimus 4X HD Android 4.1.2 Europe

LG has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus 4X HD (P880) in Europe. The Optimus 4X HD was announced last February at MWC 2012 and launched in India last July. The LG Optimus L9 (P760) got the update in Europe last week. It was announced last August and launched in India last December.

LG announced the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update schedule for high-end devices including Optimus LTE 2, Optimus G, Optimus Vu and Vu 2 in Korea . The Optimus G and Optimus LTE 2 got the Jelly Bean update in January, and the Optimus Vu 2 got the Android 4.1 update in February in Korea.

LG Czech has announced that the Android 4.1 for the Optimus L5 and the Optimus L7 would roll out starting from April 15th. The Jelly Bean update would bring new features including, Q Slide feature that would offer spit-screen view for multitasking, better browser, better notifications, Google Now and several UI enhancements.

The Android 4.1 update is rolling out for these devices in European counties. It is available OTA (over-the-air) and through LG PC Suite. Hope LG rolls out the Android 4.1 update for these devices in India soon.
