Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is introducing a new world-boss encounter on Erangel centered around a celestial entity named Kiaraa. Set to arrive on October 8, the feature adds cooperative PvE boss mechanics directly into the battle royale environment, challenging players to balance hostile player squads with a powerful multi-stage opponent.
Summoning Kiaraa: The Setup
The encounter takes place in a dedicated hot-drop zone dubbed Kiaraa’s Test. Upon landing, players must prepare by scavenging the immediate area:
- Treasure Chests: Placed around the zone to help players gear up with weapons and basic combat supplies.
- Mithai Boxes: Specialized consumable items that restore 50 Health and 50 Stamina upon use.
- Peacock Lamps: The primary activation trigger. Four lamps are scattered across the location; lighting all four initiates the summoning sequence and awakens Kiaraa.
Boss Mechanics and Combat Flow
Once summoned, Kiaraa operates like an open world boss rather than a private instance. Multiple squads, duos, and solo players can contest the arena simultaneously, turning the engagement into a chaotic mix of boss survival and third-party player conflict.
- Kiaraa’s Abilities: During combat, Kiaraa cycles through offensive maneuvers, including Arrow Rain—which targets specific areas with heavy ranged damage—and Sword Dance, a close-range threat.
- Team Assembly Mechanic: To assist isolated players who initiate the fight, BGMI features a teleportation system. Teammates located elsewhere on Erangel can enter designated teleport zones to immediately reinforce their squad member inside the battle area.
Defeat Rewards and Token Economy
Depleting Kiaraa’s health bar successfully completes the test and yields high-tier loot, including primary firearms and Medkits. Additionally, players earn event-exclusive Kiaraa Tokens:
- Match and Daily Limits: Up to 4 tokens can be obtained per match, capped at 12 tokens per day.
- Redemption Rewards: Tokens can be redeemed in the event shop for Kiaraa Spin Discount Vouchers, a limited QV Pack, and thematic cosmetics such as a custom Avatar and Avatar Frame.
By combining PvE raid dynamics with standard battle royale survival, Kiaraa’s Test introduces a high-risk, high-reward objective that rewards coordinated squad play on Erangel.
