IMC 2026: Vi to showcase AI and sovereign connectivity solutions under ‘Boundless Intelligence’ theme

Vi IMC 2026

Vi will present a suite of artificial intelligence-driven technologies and connectivity platforms at the upcoming India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. Centered around the theme ‘Boundless Intelligence’ and anchored by the tagline ‘Sovereign by Design’, the operator’s exhibition focuses on integrating AI frameworks, high-speed telecom infrastructure, and localized data processing across consumer, enterprise, and social sectors.

Consumer Applications: Autonomous Voice and Multilingual Assistance

Vi’s consumer-facing exhibits center on shifting user interactions from traditional mobile applications to natural, voice-driven interfaces:

  • Voice Call Management Assistant: Moving beyond app-based utilities, Vi is introducing a personal AI assistant built to operate directly across voice calls. The system handles everyday communication tasks, manages incoming calls, and interacts with users in their preferred regional Indian language.
  • Zero-Touch Customer Service: Designed to broaden accessibility, this voice-led system automates customer service journeys end-to-end, removing the requirement for text-based inputs or navigation through complex menus.
Enterprise Solutions: Edge Compute, Connected Mobility, and Agentic Systems

For enterprise operations, Vi is highlighting the convergence of high-capacity private networks with specialized machine learning models:

  • Smart Mining Infrastructure: Targeting mission-critical industrial environments, the solution integrates private network deployment, edge compute nodes, AI analytics, and wearable devices. The framework delivers real-time telemetry to support worker safety and operational oversight in subterranean and open-cast sites.
  • Connected and Software-Defined Mobility: Demonstrating telematics architecture for automakers (OEMs), Vi’s platform supports advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), cellular vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, and emergency eCall. The showcase includes in-cabin infotainment, voice controls, consent-driven navigation services, and scalability supported by Vi’s eSIM and Smart Central network hubs.
  • Agentic and Assistive Enterprise AI: Built using in-country data infrastructure and real-time translation capabilities, this architecture deploys both autonomous and assistive models. Agentic AI handles bounded internal workflows with human governance, while assistive copilots support employees and clients. Vi reports operational deployments of this architecture in FY26 have driven call containment via Dynamic IVR, reduced interaction complaints, and optimized telecom site energy consumption.
  • Managed AI Security Operations Centre (SOC): Operating on a Threat Detection and Response-as-a-Service model, this platform aggregates AI threat hunting, analytics, and automated response protocols to provide mid-sized and large enterprises with managed cyber resilience.
  • MSME Digital Advisory: Integrating with Vi’s ReadyForNext platform, the tool uses predictive analytics and conversational copilots to help micro, small, and medium enterprises assess market readiness and plan digital adoption.
Social Impact: Precision Agriculture and Educational Tech

Vi’s showcase also covers technology deployments aimed at rural productivity and foundational education:

  • Data-Driven Farming Insights: Combining IoT ground sensors, satellite imaging feeds, and machine learning models, the platform generates localized advisory data for agricultural planning, resource use, and crop management.
  • Connected Storytelling: Developed via a collaboration between the Vodafone Foundation and Moinee Impact Foundation under the “Pedagogy of Wonder” framework, this initiative utilizes generative tools to allow students to convert narrative concepts into illustrated, narrated digital storybooks.

The showcase will be hosted at Vi Booth 2.D2 in Hall 2, where attendees can view live demonstrations spanning voice automation, industrial edge computing, automotive tech, cybersecurity, and digital learning.

Regarding this, Abhijit Kishore, CEO, Vodafone Idea Limited, said:

The next evolution of connectivity is intelligence. At Vi, we are harnessing AI to make experiences simpler, more intuitive and meaningful, from how customers interact with us to how connectivity can transform mobility, businesses and everyday life. Through ‘Boundless Intelligence’ at IMC 2026, we are demonstrating this convergence while keeping trust, responsibility and India’s diverse needs at the core.
