MIVI One 5G with Snapdragon SoC to launch on September 24

Homegrown consumer technology brand MIVI is preparing to enter India’s competitive smartphone market with the debut of the MIVI One 5G on September 24. Widely recognized for its audio products and mobile accessories, the Hyderabad-based company’s expansion into mobile handsets marks a significant shift in its product strategy.

Key Hardware and Strategic Partnerships

To power the device, MIVI has partnered with Qualcomm to incorporate a Snapdragon 5G mobile platform. While the exact processor model remains officially undisclosed, benchmark listings point to an entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core chipset.

The company is also collaborating directly with Google on the software end, aiming to deliver a streamlined Android experience.

Design Teaser and Aesthetics

Promotional materials for the MIVI One 5G showcase several key design choices:

  • Camera Island: A raised, squircle-shaped camera island positioned at the top left of the rear panel, housing two distinct camera lenses alongside an elongated LED flash module.
  • Frame and Chassis: Flat edge rails paired with rounded corners for ergonomic handling.
  • Finish: A matte surface presented in a light sage green colorway.
Retail Strategy and Service Network

MIVI will sell the handset exclusively via Flipkart as part of its “Flipkart Unique” program, positioning the e-commerce giant as its sole launch partner.

To address common consumer concerns around after-sales support for a new market entrant, MIVI is deploying a nationwide service framework ahead of launch:

  • Authorized Service Centres: Over 500 dedicated physical service locations planned across India.
  • Doorstep Logistics: Complimentary pick-and-drop service support covering more than 19,000 postal codes.

With local manufacturing out of its Hyderabad facilities and aggressive channel backing, MIVI’s upcoming launch is poised to test consumer appetite for domestic smartphone options in the sub-₹15,000 budget segment.

Official pricing, and other  specifications should be revealed at the September 24 launch event.
