POCO India has officially expanded its X-series lineup with the launch of the standard POCO X8, as it had promised. Aimed at everyday productivity, heavy multimedia consumption, and outdoor reliability, the handset brings flagship-grade durability, a high-resolution display, and a massive silicon-carbon battery.

The POCO X8 features a large 6.83-inch 1.5K (2772 × 1280 pixels) AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color depth, and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The panel supports the DCI-P3 wide color gamut and incorporates TÜV Triple Eye Protection. For audio, the device sports dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification, and an integrated 300% volume boost mode.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the POCO X8 is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 mobile platform (clocked up to 2.4GHz), paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box, with POCO committing to 4 years of Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches.
Camera Setup
For optics, the phone houses a dual rear camera system headlined by a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an f/1.8 aperture, and a 5P lens, complemented by a 2MP depth sensor. Camera modes include Portrait, HDR, Live Moments, Ultra HD Mode, Pro Mode, and Dual Video. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera supporting Portrait, HDR, Live Moments, and AI Beautify.
