BGMI is getting CarryMinati in-game playable character

KRAFTON India has officially announced a new collaboration bringing prominent Indian content creator CarryMinati (Ajey Nagar) into BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI). The partnership marks the first time an Indian creator has been integrated into the game as a fully playable character rather than a cosmetic skin or cameo.

The limited-time event will be active from August 15 to September 13, 2026.

Creator-Driven Design Collaboration

In another first for the franchise, the entire BGMI x CarryMinati Collection—encompassing character models, boss mechanics, outfits, weapon skins, vehicles, and in-game voice packs—was designed by Indian anime channel NotYourType (NYT).

This addition continues a series of high-profile crossovers in BGMI’s 4.5 season, which has recently featured content from Ferrari, NARUTO, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Key Gameplay Features

The collaboration introduces content across both BGMI’s WOW mode and Classic mode:

  • CarryMinati WOW Map: A 2v2 Team Deathmatch experience focused on close-quarters shotgun combat. The map incorporates interactive traps designed around CarryMinati’s brand aesthetic.
  • Classic Mode Boss Fights: Players competing on Erangel and Livik can engage in squad battles against an in-game CarryMinati Boss. Defeating the boss and completing specific “Play & Win” challenges yields CarryMinati Tokens.
  • Exchange Event: Tokens collected in-game can be redeemed through the CarryMinati Exchange Event for exclusive themed items.

Speaking on the collaboration, Ajey Negar (CarryMinati) said:

Gaming has always been a huge part of who I am. I have played, laughed with gamers and spent years with fans of the BGMI community. But becoming a character inside a game that has been a part of my life for years? That’s a different level altogether. What I loved about this collaboration is that nobody tried to make me fit into BGMI, they dropped me into the lobby. The team at KRAFTON India and Not Your Type has obsessed over every little detail, making sure the personality, the attitude and even the madness feel authentically me. It’s basically me, but bigger, bossier and louder! I can’t wait for everyone to squad up, take on the boss, and have a blast. See you all in the Battlegrounds. Let’s go!

Srinjoy Das, Director, Marketing and Product Management, KRAFTON India, said:

Gaming today doesn’t exist in isolation, it lives alongside creators, memes, livestreams and the communities that shape internet culture every single day. CarryMinati has been at the centre of that cultural conversation for years, making him a natural fit for BGMI. Rather than simply featuring him in a campaign, we wanted to build an experience around him; one that players could engage with, recognise instantly and genuinely feel a part of. Together with NYT, we’ve created something that celebrates fandom and giving players moments worth talking about – in a way only gaming can.
