Google has announced Search profiles, a new feature designed to help publishers and creators shape their presence on Search. The profiles provide a dedicated, shareable space where creators and publishers can showcase content from multiple platforms and help audiences find accurate, up-to-date information about sources on Search.
Search profiles bring content from multiple platforms into one place
Search profiles give publishers and creators a central place to showcase their latest articles, videos, and social media posts. The feature is designed to help audiences discover content from sources across the web.
People can also follow publishers and creators directly from their Search profile. Google says users who follow a source are more likely to see content from that source in Discover, which is available on the home screen of the Google app.

How Search profiles can be accessed
Search profiles can be accessed on mobile through:
- A creator or publisher’s Knowledge Panel in Search, the information box that appears for notable people, places, and things
- Tapping the name of a publisher or creator in Discover
- A direct profile URL

Profile customization options
Publishers and creators with a sizable following on at least one major social media or video platform can claim a Search profile and customize it with:
- An avatar
- A bio
- Website links
- Social media accounts
- Video platform links
- Other important content
Knowledge Panel integration
Claiming a Search profile may trigger the creation of a Knowledge Panel for eligible publishers and creators.
For publishers and creators who already have a Knowledge Panel, Google says it will be updated with:
- An updated avatar
- Latest content
- A direct link to the Search profile
Availability
Search profiles will initially launch in the United States. Google says it plans to expand Search profiles to more publishers and creators around the world in the future.
The company also plans to introduce additional capabilities aimed at making profiles more useful and helping publishers and creators shape their presence and highlight their work on Search.
