Google AI Pro subscription gets free YouTube Premium Lite

Earlier this year Google integrated Google Developer Program (GDP) premium benefits into Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscriptions. At Google I/O, the company announced more benefits for Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans.

YouTube Premium benefits for Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans.

YouTube Premium is now included individually for AI Ultra tiers. AI Pro subscribers in select countries will receive YouTube Premium Lite at no extra cost, removing ads from most videos.

In addition to ad-free viewing in most videos, Google recently added offline downloads that let you save videos directly to a device for viewing without an active internet connection.

It also got Background Play feature, an option to continue listening to a video’s audio while navigating across other applications or when the device’s screen is locked to the YouTube Premium Lite plan.

New Tiers and Updated Pricing Structure

Google has also restructured its subscription tiers to target developers, technical leads, and content creators more precisely.

  • The AI Ultra $100 Plan: A new $100-per-month plan (Rs. 6,500 in India) introduces a mid-range technical tier. It offers a 5X higher usage limit in the Gemini app and Google Antigravity compared to the Pro plan, integration with Gemini 3.5 Flash for debugging, priority access to the Antigravity agent-first development platform, 20TB of cloud storage, and an individual YouTube Premium subscription.
  • The AI Ultra $200 Plan: The top-tier subscription has received a price reduction from $250 to $200 per month (Rs. 19,500 in India). Subscribers maintain the existing features, including a 20X higher usage limit over the Pro plan compared to the standard tier.
Shift to Compute-Based Usage Limits

Google is replacing its traditional daily prompt limits with a “compute-used” allocation model. Under this framework, usage caps are calculated based on the computational complexity of the task—meaning a standard text query consumes less quota than a complex video generation or coding sequence.

Limits will refresh every five hours until a user reaches their weekly cap. If a cap is met on the primary frontier models, the system automatically transitions the user to smaller, high-speed models to ensure continuity. Alternatively, AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can purchase pay-as-you-go top-up AI credits for Google Antigravity, Google Flow, and the Gemini app.

Rollout for these features begins immediately, with broader global deployment scheduled over the coming weeks.
