At its annual I/O event, Google introduced a slew of AI capabilities across its product offerings and services. And the Gemini app plays as a central hub for consumers to experience it all. With the introduction of Gemini Spark alongside new AI models like Omni and Gemini 3.5 Flash, the company is on a mission to make the Gemini app more agentic, delivering proactive, 24/7 support.
Neural Expressive: A Fresh Look
Google has made a major overhaul of the Gemini app, coming up with a new design language called Neural Expressive. The revamped interface brings fluid animations, vibrant colors, new typography, and haptic feedback.

Responses are now dynamically designed in real time — instead of plain text walls, Gemini can generate rich imagery, interactive timelines, narrated videos, and dynamic graphics tailored to your query.
Gemini Live is now directly integrated into the main app, letting you switch between typing and free-flowing voice conversations seamlessly. Google has also re-engineered the microphone so it won’t cut you off mid-thought. Regional dialect support for voice is coming soon.
Neural Expressive is rolling out today globally across Android, iOS, and the web for all users.
Gemini Omni – New Model for better Creation

Gemini Omni is the company’s newest model, built for content creation. Gemini Omni Flash is a model that can create anything from any input – starting with video, says Google.
Google introduced the first model in the Omni family: Gemini Omni Flash, to the Gemini app, Google Flow, and YouTube Shorts. With Omni, users will be able to transform text, images, and video inputs into high-quality video outputs. It brings a conversational approach to video editing — you can apply cinematic zooms, swap backgrounds, or drop in built-in templates all through simple prompts.
- Prompt: When the person touches the mirror, make the mirror ripple beautifully like liquid, and the person’s arm turns into reflective mirror material.

- Prompt: Make the sculpture out of bubbles.

Gemini Omni is rolling out today to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers worldwide.
Gemini Spark: 24/7 AI Agent

Gemini Spark is the centerpiece of Google’s agentic push for consumers. Powered by Gemini 3.5 and the Antigravity harness, Spark is a cloud-based personal agent that keeps working even when your phone is locked or your laptop is closed. It integrates deeply with Gmail, Docs, Slides, and other Workspace tools.
Here’s what Spark can do:
- Set recurring tasks — automatically parse monthly statements to flag hidden subscription fees
- Teach it new skills — monitor your inbox for school updates and send a consolidated digest to you and your partner
- Create full workflows — synthesise meeting notes, generate polished Google Docs, and draft follow-up emails
- MCP integrations — Canva, OpenTable, and Instacart connections launch today, with more partners coming
Spark is designed to ask before performing high-stakes actions like sending emails or spending money. You control what apps it connects to and when it acts.

Google says a full list of more partners is integrating now, and in the coming weeks, Spark will be able to use these MCP connections to get things done for you. It will also gain new abilities, including texting and emailing Spark, creating custom sub-agents, and operating your local browser.
Gemini Spark rolls out to trusted testers this week, with a Beta for US Google AI Ultra subscribers next week.
Daily Brief: Personalised Morning Agent

Daily Brief is a new agent that delivers a personalised morning digest built on Google’s recent Labs experiment. Once enabled, it works in the background across your connected apps — pulling urgent emails from Gmail, upcoming events from Calendar, and relevant follow-ups — and packages them into a skimmable briefing with suggested next steps. You can fine-tune it over time with simple thumbs up/down feedback.
Daily Brief is rolling out today to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, starting in the US.
Gemini macOS App
Last month, Google introduced the Gemini desktop app for macOS. This app is also getting significant upgrades in the coming months.

Gemini Spark is coming to the desktop app, helping with local file tasks and desktop workflow automation. A new voice feature will also let Gemini use on-screen context to turn free-flowing speech — including filler words and mid-thought rambles — into precise, formatted drafts right at your cursor.
