Anthropic expands Claude with Adobe, Blender and Autodesk integrations

Anthropic has expanded Claude with new connectors that integrate directly with widely used creative tools across design, 3D modelling, video production, and audio workflows. The update enables Claude to work alongside existing creative software instead of replacing them.

Anthropic has also joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron to support open-source 3D development.

Claude integrates with major creative software tools

Anthropic is introducing connectors that allow Claude to interact with external creative platforms.

The integrations include support for:

  • Blender
  • Autodesk Fusion
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ableton Live
  • Splice
  • Affinity by Canva
  • Resolume Arena and Wire
  • SketchUp

These connectors allow Claude to access documentation, assist with workflows, and support tasks across different creative applications.

Adobe for creativity connector inside Claude

Adobe has launched a connector that brings Creative Cloud tools into Claude through natural language interaction.

It connects Claude to more than 50 Adobe tools across apps including Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefly, Express, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, InDesign, and Adobe Stock.

Users can describe creative goals in natural language, and the system coordinates multi-step workflows across Adobe applications. Adobe states that users provide creative direction while the connector handles execution across tools.

Reported use cases include:

  • Editing portrait images using Photoshop workflows such as lighting adjustment, background blur, auto-straightening, and cropping
  • Creating social media designs using Adobe Express templates with editing and animation support
  • Converting and resizing videos for platforms such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels

The connector executes multi-step workflows across Adobe apps for photo, design, and video tasks.

Adobe also highlighted Firefly AI Assistant, a separate public beta creative agent offering generative tools and unified access across Adobe applications.

Autodesk Fusion connector for 3D modelling

The Autodesk Fusion connector enables users to create and modify 3D models using conversational prompts. Claude translates natural language instructions into design actions inside Fusion, supporting engineering and product design workflows.

Blender integration and Development Fund support

Claude connects with Blender through an MCP-based integration that enables natural language interaction with the software’s Python API.

The integration allows users to:

  • Analyse and debug Blender scenes
  • Generate Python scripts for automation
  • Modify objects in 3D environments
  • Extend Blender functionality through code

Anthropic has joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron.

According to the Blender Foundation, the support will contribute to core development, including continued work on the Blender Python API.

The Foundation stated that Blender continues to operate under its open-source GNU GPL license.

Additional creative platform connectors

Claude includes integrations with several other creative tools:

  • Ableton: access to official documentation for Live and Push
  • Splice: sample search for music production
  • Resolume Arena and Wire: control of live visual performance tools
  • SketchUp: converting text descriptions into 3D model starting points
  • Affinity by Canva: automation of batch edits, renaming, and exports
Creative workflow capabilities in Claude

Claude supports multiple creative workflows through these connectors:

  • Learning software workflows using official documentation
  • Generating scripts, plugins, shaders, and procedural systems
  • Moving assets across different tools and formats
  • Converting ideas into structured creative outputs
  • Handling repetitive production tasks such as batch processing and setup
Education partnerships

Anthropic is working with creative education programs focused on AI in design and computational art.

Participating institutions include:

  • Rhode Island School of Design (Art and Computation)
  • Ringling College of Art and Design (AI for Creatives)
  • Goldsmiths, University of London (Computational Arts)

Students and faculty at these institutions are receiving access to Claude and the new connectors for academic use and experimentation.

Availability

The Adobe for creativity connector is available globally for Claude users starting today.

  • Users can install it directly inside Claude after signing in.
  • An Adobe account is required to unlock higher usage limits, access additional tools, and enable saving of work across sessions.
