The phone retains the 32MP front camera, and you can see the earpiece on the top of the bezel, which doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone has an optical fingerprint scanner.

The Nothing Phone (4a) is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC compared to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 in the Phone (3a) and has up to 12GB LPDD4X RAM.

This gets up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, an upgrade from UFS 2.2. The phone runs Android 16 with Nothing OS 4.1 on top with several new features, and will get 3 Android OS updates and 6 years of security patches, same as older models.

Coming to the button placements, the power button is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The Essential Key is now on the left instead of the right since the volume rockers are present on the right. The dual SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top. The phone still has a polycarbonate frame, and it has a matte finish so it doesn’t slip easily.

The phone still has Glyph lights, but these are now present as a single Glyph Bar that is a rectangle of 63 mini-LEDs in 7 squares, up to 40% brighter than previous versions, reaching up to 3,500 nits.

The phone retains the 50MP main camera with a Samsung GN9 sensor and OIS; an 8MP ultra-wide camera; but gets a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera compared to 2x in the predecessor, and there is also OIS for it. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. Check out some camera samples.

The phone still has a transparent design, but the camera bar now has a pill-shaped aluminium design, and the back uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Nothing says that the Phone (4a) has bend resistance by 34% compared to the Phone (3a). It features IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance. In addition to white, the phone also comes in pink, black, and blue colors.

The Nothing Phone (4a) starts at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, and with a Rs. 3,000 bank discount, the effective starting price is Rs. 28,999. There is additional exchange benefits of up to Rs. 4,000.
