London-based tech company Nothing has launched its first student competition in India — the Nothing Incubator — aimed at discovering fresh, innovative ideas from the country’s top young talent and showcasing India’s growing influence in the global tech scene.
Nothing Incubator
Nothing describes this initiative as more than a contest — a platform inviting India’s next generation of innovators to “show the world what happens when bold ideas meet real opportunity.”
The program is open to students from over 60 leading institutions, including IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, BITS Pilani, FMS Delhi, XLRI Jamshedpur, SPJIMR Mumbai, and others.
Participants are encouraged to challenge conventions and rethink possibilities under the theme “Making Tech Fun Again.”

Competition Structure:
- Round 1: Idea Submission (Now Open) — Teams send in a single-slide pitch outlining their concept.
- Round 2: Strategic Roadmap: Shortlisted teams develop a three-year vision and go-to-market strategy.
- Grand Finale: Finalists deliver a live three-minute pitch to a panel of industry experts, venture capitalists, and startup mentors.
Rewards:
- Winners: ₹2 lakh cash prize, winner’s certificate, and the latest Nothing Phone (3).
- Runners-up: Nothing products and certificates.
- Nothing may consider exceptional finalists for future career roles.
Eligibility and Registration
Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students (BE/BTech, dual degree, MBA/PGDM) can participate. Teams of 1-3 members from the same institution are allowed, and mixed-discipline teams are encouraged.
Eligible students from participating colleges can now register for the Nothing Incubator on Unstop.
Speaking on the initiative, Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President of Nothing, said:
India is no longer just a growth market — it’s becoming a creative and innovation powerhouse with global impact. We see a generation that is not only tech-savvy but unafraid to challenge the norm. With the Nothing Incubator, we’re tapping into that mindset — giving young talent a platform to shape the future of technology, not just for India, but the world.
