OPPO K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro with 6.8″ 1.5K 120Hz OLED display, Dimensity 8450 / Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, Active cooling fan announced

OPPO has introduced the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro smartphones in the K13 series in China, as it had promised. The phones pack a 6.8-inch flat 1.5K AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate.

The OPPO K13 Turbo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC, which was first used in the Reno14 Pro, and the K13 Turbo Pro is the first OPPO phone to use a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. Both the phones feature a 50MP main camera along with a 2MP secondary camera and a 16MP front camera.

The phones pack a 7000mAh battery and support 80W fast charging. The back of the phone uses a composite glass fiber material with a three-dimensional metal cutting texture.

The main highlight of the phones is the active cooling fan on the back with Rapid Cooling Engine, which it says is the most powerful mobile phone air-cooling technology in OPPO’s history. The engine has a large air volume and uses an L-shaped ultra-low wind resistance air duct and a micro centrifugal fan system, which increases the air volume by 120% and the heat dissipation capacity by 20%. There is a turbo breathing light that lights up when active cooling is turned on.

The module is 70% smaller and weighs only 2.8g, which reduces the thickness of the entire device by 0.4mm with the same battery capacity and increases the battery capacity by 600mAh with the same thickness. Even with the fan, the whole phone has support for IPX9, IPX8 and IPX6 waterproof ratings. It is the industry’s first fully waterproof mobile phone air-cooling technology, which is resistant to hot water, immersion in water, and spraying water, said OPPO.
