Lenovo introduces new IdeaPad Pro 5/5i, Slim 5/5i, IdeaPad Flex 3i, Tab M9 and more


Lenovo has introduced its latest consumer products with noteworthy features and upgrades ahead of CES in January 2023. These include the IdeaPad Pro 5/5i, IdeaPad Slim 5/5i, IdeaCentre Mini 5i, IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook, Lenovo Tab M9, and Accessories.

IdeaPad Pro 5i and IdeaPad Pro 5

IdeaPad Pro 5i and IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 8 are available in 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes with Arctic Grey and Frost Blue colors. Windows 11-powered laptops with the newest Intel or AMD Ryzen processors and NVIDIA GeForce Next-Gen GPUs.

Features include a 25% bigger touch pad for easier navigation, an FHD IR camera with a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor, and Windows Hello smart login. The 16-inch model has an SSD expansion slot to store extra data. Users can transfer data quicker with USB 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4.0 connectors.

The 16-inch IdeaPad Pro 5i and IdeaPad Pro 5 include a new dynamic display switch that boosts frames per second. These laptops have a QHD+ display, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 90% AAR, and a 100% sRGB colour space. An Eyesafe Certified low blue light display, Smart Power, and Lenovo’s CO2 offset services are also included.

IdeaPad Slim 5i and IdeaPad Slim 5

The 16-inch screen has a 2.5K resolution, while the 14-inch has a 2.2K FHD OLED display. Both screens have 90% AAR and 100% DCI-P3 for ultra-vivid colours and a colourful viewing experience. The 14-inch screen supports up to 400 nits of brightness. It is TÜV Rheinland low-blue light-certified and comes with an improved FHD infrared camera along with a physical privacy shutter feature.

It comes with the newest Intel® Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs and two full-function USB Type-C® connectors. The new IdeaPad Slim 5i and 5 will come in Violet, Cloud Grey, and Abyss Blue. These laptops are also included with Lenovo Premium Care Plus and Lenovo Smart Performance Services.

IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook (12”, 8)

The IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook (12″ x 8″) has a larger screen than the previous iteration. Long battery life of up to 12 hours, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification, an optional backlit keyboard, a bigger screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and an ergonomic drop-hinge function that elevates the keyboard 15 degrees for a more comfortable typing experience will enhance work, study, and play.

This Chromebook has a physical shutter for its HD or FHD camera and a mute button. Additional changes include a faster N-series Intel processor, two Waves MaxxAudio speakers, and a Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

IdeaCentre Mini (1L, 8)

Lenovo’s new IdeaCentre Mini 1L desktop PC merges modern form with practical function. With a built-in PSU, this elegant and tiny device will suit any room decor and fit just about anywhere on a desk, whether laying flat or in the accompanying metal stand.

Its easily opened chassis lets customers modify setups or repair its dual-vortex cooling fan and memory chip. The IdeaCentre Mini has the latest Intel Core processor, two DDR4 memory chips, SSD storage up to 1 TB, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and enough ports with a Type-C Thunderbolt 4.0.

Lenovo Tab M9

The Lenovo Tab M9, successor to the Tab M8 delivers multimedia basics on a 9-inch HD tablet that weighs under 344g and is just 7.99 mm thick, making it comfortable to hold. Dolby Atmos and two stereo speakers enhance the Lenovo Tab M9’s viewing experience.

Its MediaTek Helio G80 Octa-Core processor, Android 12 operating system, and up to 128GB of storage provide consumers with the power and space to stream and save movies and shows with up to 13 hours of battery life. Fast Wi-Fi 5 and improved GPS will improve in-app experiences.

The Lenovo Tab M9 has a reading mode, TÜV Rheinland eye care certification, and face unlock. A transparent case and folio case with kickstand are included for all-around device protection.

Lenovo 500 USB Type-C Universal Dock

This dock provides a universal USB Type-C connection for enhanced adaptability and productivity. With one cable, customers may enjoy fast data transfers, twin 4K monitors, and port extension while using a solution that contains 40% post-consumer recycled plastic.

  • The IdeaPad Pro 5i (14”, 8) with Intel Core processor is not available in North America and is expected to be available in EMEA from April 2023 starting at 999€ (US$ 1215 / Rs. 1,00,488 approx.).
  • The IdeaPad Pro 5i (16”, 8) with Intel Core processor will start at $1499.99 (Rs. 1,23,977 approx.) and is expected to be available from May 2023.
  • The IdeaPad Pro 5 (14”, 8) with AMD Ryzen processor is not available in North America and is expected to be available in EMEA from July 2023 starting at 999€ (US$ 1215 / Rs. 1,00,488 approx.).
  • The IdeaPad Pro 5 (16”, 8) with AMD Ryzen processor is not available in North America and is expected to be available in EMEA from April 2023 starting at 1399€ (US$ 1702 / Rs. 1,40,766 approx.).
  • The IdeaPad Slim 5i (14”, 8) with Intel Core processor is not available in North America and is expected to be available in EMEA from July 2023 starting at 699€ (US$ 850 / Rs. 70,300 approx.).
  • The IdeaPad Slim 5i (16”, 8) with Intel Core processor will start at $749.99 (Rs. 61,947 approx.). and is expected to be available from May 2023.
