LG Vu 3 specs surface, 5.2-inch display and Snapdragon 800 processor

LG has announced the Optimus Vu II, successor of the Optimus Vu back in September last year. Now the specifications of the third Vu phone, the Vu 3 has surfaced. The Vu 3 would have a IPS display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio similar to first two phones in the series, but the display is rumored to be a bit larger at 5.2-inches with a resolution of 1280 by 960, better than the 1024  by 768 pixels. The Vu 3 is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 800 processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera similar to the LG G2, the latest flagship that was unveiled recently.

The smartphone would also come with LTE-Advanced support in Korea similar to the G2 and is likely to run on  Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). We still don’t have details about the RAM, mempry  or the battery capacity yet. It is likely to pack 2GB of RAM and come in 16GB and 32GB variants. The first Vu phone had capacitive touch buttons, but the Vu 2 had a hardware home button along with the touch buttons. Since we don’t have an image of Vu 3 yet, it is not clear what LG is planning.

Since LG has changed their business model by dropping the Optimus branding from high-end devices, the next Vu smartphone would be named as LG Vu 3. The smartphone is expected to be unveiled in September at the IFA 2013, where the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony’s flagship camera phone codenamed Honami would be unveiled.
